McMinn County’s attracts its workforce from a multi-county region consisting primarily of citizens from McMinn County and surrounding Bradley, Loudon, Meigs, Monroe, Polk, Rhea and Roane counties. Being located within 50 miles of either Chattanooga or Knoxville allows us to draw a workforce from a 60 minute commute from McMinn County. McMinn County’s working age population (20-65 years old) is higher than the national average, making it a goodplace to look for workers. Additionally, because McMinn is a slightly more rural area, the working population is more accustomed to a longer commute time; meaning that plants located in these areas should have no trouble finding workers willing to make the commute beyond city limits.
